The three-acre site is planted with native trees, shrubs and wildflowers, as well as local varieties of fruit trees. There are a few raised beds where we grow herbs and soft fruit.
Volunteer activities include: weeding, watering and harvesting herbs and soft fruit; clearing and mulching around trees; cutting footpaths through the site; propagating and caring for herb plants; planting trees. In addition, there are occasional construction projects; for example, building plant staging and compost bays.
You will be working alongside the project lead and other volunteers to help maintain and develop the space for the benefit of wildlife and the local community.
